Semiconductors, developer tools
A complete IDE for RISC-V developers
2toolchains bundled: GNU and LLVM
8project templates
7sample and benchmark projects
Problem
Developers on a new RISC-V platform had to assemble compilers, build settings and flashing scripts before writing a line.
Approach
Ship a branded Eclipse product with everything inside, so the toolchain is ready the moment the IDE opens.
What we built
- GNU and LLVM registered as managed-build toolchains in CDT
- Custom toolchain settings page and project wizard pages
- CoreMark and Dhrystone benchmarks to compare toolchains
- A Flash FPGA tool that reaches a remote board over SSH from inside the IDE
- A self-contained package per operating system with its own JRE
